Who we are

Shepherd Health is a trading name of Insured Health Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number 09886202), with our registered office at Saville House, 74-90 Savile Street, Sheffield, S4 7UD. Insured Health Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA reference number 774335).

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or request a quote, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Information we collect

When you request a quote or ask us to call you back, we may collect:

• Contact details, such as your name, telephone number, email address and postcode.
• Information relevant to your enquiry, such as your age and details of any private medical insurance you currently hold or existing medical conditions you tell us about.
• Technical information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your IP address, your browser and device, and how you arrived at the site (including any advertising click or campaign details in the link you followed), so we can attribute enquiries to the right marketing campaign.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide the policy comparison and advisory service you have asked for, including passing your details to one of our advisers to call you.
• Obtain quotes from insurers on your behalf.
• Keep records of the advice given and transactions made, as required of us as an FCA-regulated business.
• Understand which campaign led to your enquiry using the campaign details included in the link you followed.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

We may share your information with the insurers you ask us to get quotes from, our regulated telephone advisers, and IT and telephony providers who help us run this service. Any third party acting on our behalf is required to keep your data secure and only use it for the purpose we've asked them to.

Google Tag Manager loads when you visit our public website and can load the measurement tags configured in our container. Google Analytics and Google Ads may receive information about your visits and interactions to help measure site usage and advertising. Website measurement is separate from enquiry delivery.

How long we keep it

Where your enquiry leads to a policy or ongoing advice relationship, we keep records for as long as required by FCA rules, and normally for seven years afterwards. If you make an enquiry that doesn't go any further, we keep that information for up to two years so we can respond if you get back in touch.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a session cookie called shepherd_site to keep the enquiry form and administrator login working, protect submissions and remember the campaign link used for an enquiry. It expires when your browser session ends.

This website does not display a cookie notification or provide on-page cookie preference controls. Google Tag Manager loads automatically on public pages. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.

When enabled by our container, Google Analytics may use _ga cookies and Google Ads may use _gcl cookies. Google may process visit and advertising data outside the UK under its applicable safeguards. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Campaign identifiers in an incoming link are stored with a submitted enquiry. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the form or administrator login from working.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, or to receive it in a portable format, subject to the exemptions that apply to regulated firms.
